May 27th and May 28th: Bikini Kill will carry onstage shows at The Ground in Miami, put in collaboration with Little Haiti’s Sweet Records, the shows which were rescheduled from 2020. Today, the Riot Grrrl movement more broadly is finding resonance in Tik Tok. These pronouncements have maintained the subculture’s aesthetics and politics, only this time, led by Gen Z frustrated with just how little has changed since Bikini Kill first stopped on a stage over 30 years ago and defined “Riot Grrl” with their electric guitars on tow.
